As I explained before in this thread you can just put the rpm's you
need onto 1 CD structure, use houghi's CD to DVD howto to create your
1CD structure and use an autoyast.xml file to boot from cd using
autoyast=file://<path> within isolinux.cfg.

SLES 9 actually contains a YaST CD Creator module to do that, but for
some reason this module dissapeared and is not part of SUSE pro, mayeb
it is just one of thos special features you pay for. I must look at the
code and extract the commands it runs..

In general from memory you

Create an install you like with all packages you want and get rid of
any package you do not want. Use that list of packages to create an
autoyast.xml file.
Create an autoyast.xml file that contains all those packages and not
much else. Anything that is missing the installer will ask for anyhow.
Create a Yast repository with those files. This will be the basis for
your CD. or use Houghi's howto and just think 1CD instead of 1DVD.
Populate the yast repository on disc with all the additional
directories of the iso #1
Put the autoyast.xml file onto the yast repository and modify the
islinux.cfg to start that one with autoyast=
Create the iso using mkisofs

I get a chance to look at the YaST CD Creator in SLES9 once beta3 is
out and I have redone some packages for SUPER for that, which is
probably Saturday/Sunday. By then I can write a howto for the Wiki, Of
course if someone else wants to do this, be my guest, saves me time and
I can use it too ;)

Andreas
