I also agree.  SuSE9.3 has been nothing but a headache.  About 50% of 
the programs that compiled very clean under 9.2 fail to compile in 
9.3.
Try jpilot that worked under 9.2.  The only way I got it to work was 
via  a RPM.  My guess is SuSE is now using old RPMs and not one 
compiled under 9.3.

To also to get a USB drive to work it takes about 4 or 5 reboot 
efforts to be seen by the system.  However, "lsusb" see it just fine
