OK,
I am still stoped and looking for solution for this problem, I need the
squid running because we really need an efficient control of the information
here such as reports and bandwidth control etc you know. So I have had one
ideia about it, for example if the the webserver listenning in other port
like 8080 and i put one link on the error messages redirecting the custumer
to www.fundacentro.gov.br:8080 out of proxy cold it work fine?
In fact this problem wasborn when our governament has made an specific law
to improve open source software in Brasil and on my network we are actually
changing everything to linux including final users its good isnt? but it has
been quite difficult to me staying alone. If somebody wants to addme on the
msn joniarroba@hotmail.com I we cold exchange information about other
points of view next semester I gonna start my monografy about opensourse and
every help is welcome.
Sorry by my english mistakes
thanks guys

I get the same problem , when I click on the "extranet" link (which seemed
the most logical place to need authentication..) both through my Squid Proxy
and through a PIX proxy on a separate LAN segment ...I'll need to look a
little further into this one once I can get to a proxyless connection..in a
short while.

Subject: [SLE] Squid doesn?t authorize me!
Hi friends,
I have installed the squid proxy but my costummers usually need to have
access to severious websites with that famous login dialogs (http
authorization) without squid everythig have gone right but when put them to
the proxy the same websites appears the fallow message into the browser.
My config is
http_port 3128
visible_hostname qmail
acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
HTTP Error 401
401.2 Unauthorized: Logon Failed due to server configuration
This error indicates that the credentials passed to the server do not match
the credentials required to log on to the server. This is usually caused by
not sending the proper WWW-Authenticate header field.
Please contact the Web server's administrator to verify that you have
permission to access to requested resource.
Somebody could help me? or have any idea to solve it?
Thanks
Joni Hoppen
