I have set up dhcp server and it works fine when the firewall is deactivated. I have for services allowed on that interface is dhcp, dns, ipp, ssh. When activated I can ssh works fine but not the dhcp. I've been configuring the firewall through yast although I have also tried configuring the SuSEfirewall2 script directly and through yast. Nothing seems to make any difference. When I first looked at this morning, I discovered that yast reported that all the ports were open on the firewall. Trying to remove the services failed, so I uninstalled the firewall and deleted the script. I've re-installed the firewall and now I can add and remove services successfully. However, I still can't get the dhcp server to work through the firewall. I've tried adjusting the log setting but that doesn't seem to respond I only get critical messages logged and that doesn't seem to include failed dhcp attempts. Have I missed something? Can anyone give me some advice as to what to try next or anyone have a similar experience and knows the solution. Would be much grateful for any help. Thanks Eddie
