Hey Group;
Has anyone come across a thumbnail viewer that works as well on all picture types like jpg, png and etc. files. When I was in Austin, TX Photodex made a Linux version and it worked great. However, lib updates and Photodex decided to abandon Linux - like WordPerfect -> real shame!.
What is a all round good viewer? It seems the ones I have tried will only look at file.jpg but not file.png and so on.
konquerer, gqview, gwenview to name a few will let you look at a dir full of pics in thumbnail mode as well as full screen.
gwenview seems to have the best zooming algorithm, I get the impression that when you zoom in gwenview you get a better quality result than with other viewers. gthumb is also good pixie/pixieplus used to be good, but I can't find it now, it seems to have died. Pity RoxFiler, nautilus, xffm and just about every other file manager also have image viewing/thumbnailing built in
