"mtst -f /dev/nst0 tell" fixed

Last December I posted a message on this list indicating that the following
command started to fail after a kernel upgrade:
mtst -f /dev/nst0 tell
/dev/nst0: Inappropriate ioctl for device
There was no discussion about this in the list, but I did get a personal reply
a month or two later asking if I was able to resolve the problem. (I was
not).
I have since upgraded to SuSE 9.3 and the problem is now resolved. I lost
track of the name and email address of my correspondent so can't send the
good news personally. Perhaps she will see this note!
