What you are looking at are your 'recent addresses' that Kmail keeps for you. Thus, if today you make a typo and address something to: xonaton@tds.net you're going to see that address forever (or a long time) in your 'recent address' list. This stuff bugged me so much I put in a wish list item on it asking for a way to turn it off.
But they went one better.
Try right clicking on the To line.....
and you will see that you can select 'Edit recent addresses'. Go cut and chop to your hearts content.
In the future, they say there will also be the option to turn off recent addresses completely.
WOOHOO! Thanks Bruce!
