Hey Sid; May give you a call on Skype Friday PM I did just try apm=off acpi=off and right after booting it worked. So if anyone else is have a /dev/sd# USB Drive fail now and then try turning off acpi and apm. Let see if that fixes our mount problem. Sid Boyce wrote:

Hey Group; I see a problem with SuSE 9.# and a running USB HD.

I have tried booting and sometimes it works. I have tried adding it to /etc/fstab. And no matter which kernel or thing I try - sometimes it will mount right after booting and others it won't. In any case (not running KDE) it seems to only work at boot time and for a short order. After about 10 minutes it will not mount at all. I have tried power on the HD first, plugged or unplugged and sometimes it works. It works about 25% of the time is the problem.
Which deamon could be causing this problem? Are is it a modules, fs or USB problem.
Regards Sid.
