Do you have this problem since the installation, or has it appeared
suddenly later ?

I do have a problem too with my keyboard (the numeric keypad work, but
not some specific keys of the Belgium layout as it should). I haven't
found the cause (and solution) yet. Maybe our keyboard problems are
related ? (a bug in the Suse/xfree86/xorg installation ?)

Can you try the following command from a console:

setxkbmap -v 10

What are the results ?
Do you have a "Error loading new keyboard description" error message ?
