Manual installation:

5) Problem is here: when asked for IP address of the FTP server for installation if I type ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.2, it is rejected.
As I don't have the numeric IP address of the FTP server what must I do?

If your dns on your internal is configured correctly:
dig ftp.suse.com
should resolve the ip

It resolved it two days ago.
