I'm trying to set up printing on a new box with 9.2, which was installed by someone else. When I go into yast's printer module, it says initialising printer configuration, then hangs. It has ticked 'check environment', 'read firewall settings', 'check database of printers'. It has an arrow pointing at 'load current settings', and a minus against 'autodetect printers'. The progress bar is stuck at 60%. Does anybody know what is wrong with yast and/or how to fix it? All of yast's other functions appear to be working correctly. cupsd is running and the (KDE?) print dialog from susehelp shows me a long list of printers on our network, but unfortunately not the one I want to use! Would I be safe to use the add printer button on that dialog? Thanks, Dave
