Same thing works in reverse. starting a firefox on system2 first, then

This is by design.

Anyone now a way to avoid this?

I am not sure it is possible.

It can be done. From the local box

xhost + (or however you want to restrict access)

From the remote box

firefox --display=localbox:0.0

and you should get a properly displayed instance of Firefox.

This is a really annoying "feature"
