Hi

Until a few days ago, sendmail was working fine. But now - each time I try
to send an e-mail, I get the following error message:

> sendmail -q -v

Running /var/spool/mqueue/j4RIjQq03709 (sequence 1 of 1)
<existing.address@xxxxxx>... Connecting to mail.messaging.ch. via
esmtp...
220 mail.messaging.ch ESMTP server ready
>>> EHLO linux.mydomain.ch
250-mail.messaging.ch hello [195.15.131.95], pleased to meet you
250-HELP
250 OK
>>> MAIL From:<mail@xxxxxxxxxxx>
250 <mail@xxxxxxxxxxx> ... sender ok
>>> RCPT To:<existing.address@xxxxxx>
550 <existing.address@xxxxxx> ... recipient rejected
<existing.address@xxxxxx>... User unknown
>>> RSET
250 OK

The strange thing is the "User unknown" message. The recipient definitely
exists.
[On the other hand, downloading e-mails works fine.]
I guess there is some option in a sendmail configuration file, which is not
set correctly?

I would be greatful for any hint to solve this problem
Roger
