cron, rsync and cdrecord

Greetings,
I am setting up a back up with cron,
On my server side I have configured an auto mount of a windows share (Moms My
Documents) and it it working well, if she unplugs her laptop, and plugs it in
again the share is mounted again.
I then wrote a script and added it to cron to run every morn at 2 am.
This works well too.
Now what I am after is a way to use cron to write the folder to a cdwriter
using a CD-RW medium, using cron as well.
Has anyone tried this before, if so could you pass an example over please?
