There doesn't have to be 15-20 mail with 'test' or 'is the list down' There is an archive at lists.suse.com/archive. If there hasn't been a new entry there, odds are the list is down. There is a test list, which you can subscribe to at test-list-subscribe@suse.com - if you can't, odds are the list server is malfunctioning, or you will get an error message explaining what the problem is. There is an admin, who doesn't always monitor this list, but whom you can make aware of any problems at suse-linux-e-owner@suse.com, assuming it's a local suse-linux-e problem, or ml-admin@suse.com if it's a general list server problem.
