I am on 9.1 Pro right now and I contemplated on moving to just released 9.3. However, I am thinking that I should rather wait till the SuSE release which will be GCC 4.0 based.
I would think it would be wize to wait for the second or even third SUSE release that's based on GCC 4.x - that way most of the showstopper bugs and issues that's bound to be present when you do such a major shift, will be ironed out.
Remember the issues with browser plug-ins ect. when SuSE 8.1 was released (first SuSE to use GCC 3). I don't know if the differences between 3 and 4 are as big as between 2 and 3, but I'm sure there will be some issues initially.
From what I read, gcc 4.0 changes the c++ ABI again, so we will have the exact same issues with this one *sigh*
