hi,
This tells me that are trying to use YaST as a user and not as root. First do sux (suppl root's password) and then issue yast2 printer. YaST needs to be run as root. The "$" signifies that you are trying to run the command as a normal user. After you run sux your prompt will change to a "#".
Nope, I ran Yast as root only, it was a mistake that I mentioned $, it should have been # only. I ran it as root and I could also see the yast printer configuration module coming up on screen and trying to complete to 100%. Again it got stuck at the 50% mark while 'Loading Current Settings'. And I sent the log file that Yast generated in my last mail for your reference. One more thing I observed was if you try to run yast2 from tha command line as user, it just says, command not found. So no question of the module coming up. Regards, Chaitanya. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
