Well then it seems to be working. You have both 'dvd' and 'cdrom' pointing to the same device, so both should work for accessing DVDs and cdroms in your DVD player grip is probably just misconfigured if it insists on reading from the cdrecorder. Check the settings in grip
So I have a further question. In the bios setup, I see no option for boot brom dvd. Is this a problem?
Not really if you already have your system installed. That should mean it could boot from it when you installed, right? Which boot options do you have in the BIOS?
