OK, I have:
hard drive: IBM Deskstar, Model: IC35L060AVVA07-0 ATA/IDE Capacity: 61.4 GB, RPM 7200 LBA 120.103.200 Sectors CHS 16383/16/63 Made in Thailand, Sep-2002
The drive is generally too young for major problems. Though that may be one of the Hitachi 7200 when IBM sold those jobs to overseas production. If it is Hitachi then it could still be the drive. However to prove it we need do a few more things. Assuming you backed up /home and there is no windows on the drive you could use TheUltimateCD to test the drive then format it in some fashion perhaps as win32 of course the linux install will correct this. BTW if your root is not reiserfs this would be a good time to format it and then restore from your backup. -- ___ _ _ _ ____ _ _ _ | | | | [__ | | | |___ |_|_| ___] | \/
