My daughter and her husband finally got tired of virus and continuous reinstalling, and decided to dump XP. Their computer is a Gateway 300SE with a Celeron processor and 384 Mb RAM. Anybody know of a sucessful installation of SuSE on such a box? Will SuSE 9.1 be a better solution? SuSE 9.3? Should she stick to XP?
I have installed SuSE on many Gateway machines starting back in 1998 and never had this problem. Is it possible for them to try a different/newer monitor?
