You may attempt downloading and installing linux  drivers from
http://www.broadcom.com/drivers/downloaddrivers.php

Had  the same probnlem with IBM G40 and the trick worked for me.

Yes we can.. :)  Nothing at all is enabled when it comes to power saving
etc.
