AFAIK, a plugin for RealAudio is not needed.
You can instruct the browser to use /usr/local/bin/realplay (or wherever
realplay may be located) to play the file with this MIME-Type.

In Mozilla: Edit > Preferences > Navigator > Helper Applications...

In Konqueror: Settings > Configure Konqueror > File Associations...

In the same way as above the browser can be instructed to save an rpm
file, for example, to disk.
But right clicking the link and 'Save link target as...' also works.
