My system works fine now with the kernel mentioned above (2.6.5-7.145) 
and newly compiled nvidia modules (as described in Sunny's mail). Just a 
lucky case or will it break down sooner or later ?!?

Currently my ASUS V9570 LE/TD works fine with 1280*1024 and also 3D is 
supported (at least Tuxracer works ;-)).
