I've noticed that this happens when I use kbear. Shutting down kbear and restarting the panel rearranges the icons on the system tray. I guess it's a bug.
I can confirm that it happens with kbear on a 9.2 x86_64 system. A short time after closing kbear the panel returns to normal. I don't need to restart anything here. Doug
