English evolves rather quickly. Each generation seems to put a spin on it in several ways. Some words last, some make it into the dictionary and some just disappear ... ' Hep Cat" hasn't been heard in general conversation lately, for instance.
Interesting :-) However... those changes are difficult to follow for those of us whose first language is not English - and in a list such as this, we are a lot. For example, I have no idea what "Hep Cat" might mean, but "hi gang" I think I understood, no offense taken. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
