Ah, but I get yahoo mail and hotmail via perl scripts, fetchyahoo and gotmail, and have had no problems. I have both deliver to procmail. fetchyahoo runs as a daemon and gotmail via cron.
Ah, yes. I knew by hearsay, I don't have accounts there, couldn't be precise. However, think yahoo.es (not .com) does allow pop (I could be mistaken and be hotmail.es). Now and then people ask precisely how to download from those servers in linux.
I have pop3 and web access plus e-mail forwarding in Yahoo Brasil http://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=br As a new feature, there are also 'disposable' e-mails (accounts) - the ideia is to use it when someone asks your e-mail (forms around the Inet) and you suspect they will send spam to you. When it take place, simply close it. I must say I'm really happy with these free services. And now with 250 MB, my smile is so big that almost reach my ears :-) -- Marcos Lazarini
