Ok, so I understood you right the first time. The 'Start New Session' menu
entry in the right-click menu in KDE is only shown if in the Xservers file
several virtual sessions have been reserved.
Mine looks like that:
:0 local@tty1 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp :0
:1 local@tty2 reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp :1
:2 local@tty3 reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp :2
:3 local@tty4 reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp :3
The lines :1 to :3 must be uncommented, and the Xservers file in /etc/X11/xdm
should be the same.
After editing those files, you must restart kdm; issue 'rckdm restart' as
root.
But, if the menu entry is visible to you and clicking on it doesn't work as it
expected, it must be a different issue and others may have more ideas on how
to debug your problem.
