Has anyone had any luck installing Ampache under Suse 9.1? I am installing the standard YAST version of Ampache 3.2 and I am running into session errors when I try to login:
********************************************************************** Warning: mysql_query(): 26 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /srv/ www/ampache/libglue/session.php on line 191 [...] **********************************************************************
It looks like the mysql connection is failing, however:
The Ampache test.php page checks out fine. (ie: it finds the config file and connects to the db with the information in the file) I can connect to mysql via command line using the mySQL information in ampache.cfg
Hm, I would double check the values in ampache.cfg. local_host and local_db, most notably. Although I'm not familiar with php error messages to tell where the problem exactly is. Did you read the README.SuSE and follow all steps described there? 9.1 shipped version 3.2Alpha1, and while I have tested that version at the time and it did work, you can as well update to 3.2.2 from here: http://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/poeml/ampache/9.1-i386/ This is the version that I'm using since many months without any problem, and that I can recommend most. 3.2Alpha1 was an interim release which was already very usable but not a finished release.
