Evolution 2 on SuSE 9.2 Spell Checker

Dear List I cannot get Evolution to enable spell checking. When i go to Tools -> Settings -> Composer Preferences -> Spell Checking the Languages box contains nothing and the Enable button is greyed out. The SuSE help says install gnome-spell - which i have (actually it was originally gnome-spell2 but i have added gnome-spell as well). In addition i also have installed: aspell aspell-en ispell ispell-british myspell-american myspell-british Any and all pointers / solutions gratefully received Tim
