In ~/.bashrc, I have tried various setterm lengths, including 0 and 120. In KDE Control Center I've set screensaver to 120 minutes and unchecked the box "start automatically". In power control the only selection is "laptop battery", unlike in 8.2, which has a section "display power control". If I go into "yast modules" section "misc" and select "power management", all I get is a blank window. How do I stop my Sony 200GS display from blanking after only 10 minutes?
Look under the peripherals--> Desktop in the control center.
Controls Center has: Desktop (1) ... KDE Components (3) Peripherals (4) ... Power Control (6) Under (1) above, I see nothing having anything to do with power or the display. Under (3) above, I see nothing having anything to do with power or the display. Under (4) above, "display" -> "power control" settings are standby after 60 min, suspend after 120 min, power off after 120 min, all grayed out because I have unchecked "enable display power management". Under (6) above, I see nothing having anything to do with display power. So, why does my display blank after 10 minutes with power control disabled, but according to the control center settings with it enabled? -- "The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg.
