If anyone couple help me out I would be very grateful. I've just upgraded to 9.2 and when I try to display Veritas 3.4.x or 4.5.x through an ssh tunnel as I've done for the last 4 years.. it craps on itself with the message below. Yes, I do the "ssh -X" so that it will do X forwarding. I have no idea what the errors below are. The 3.x version is a motif application and the 4.x is a java application but both crap on themselves when they start.
Any input would rock. Thanks.
I installed netbackup java admin gui on my 9.2 desktop and this is what I'm using to administer netbackup 4.5 MP6 servers. This is not exactly your case, but a working solution too. This is how I start jnbSA on 9.2 (I'm using 4.5 MP6): LD_PRELOAD=~/libcwait.so LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21 /usr/openv/java/jnbSA The instructions how to build libcwait are here: http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2003-November/msg06994.html Also, for the netbackup daemons on a 9.2 client I had to add a line env = LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 to bpcd, bpjava-msvc, vopied files in /etc/xinetd.d directory.
