It's all in the subject line.
I am afraid of what I've read somewhere, about problems with onboard NIC and sound chips.
Anybody willing to share real life experience, before I throw my money away?
TIA & regards

Better use the suse-amd64 list. I've built both a k8v deluxe and a k8v se deluxe. Take a look at the mailing list for Nov-Dec or google "suse-amd64 k8v". I can't get the onboard audio to work on one and the onboard GBit LAN on the other.
Cheers
Thank you for your answer. I browsed already through archives of suse-amd64, but there were different answers, which confuses me. I was not sure whether people speak about k8v, k8v deluxe or k8v se deluxe. On CD that comes with k8v se deluxe, there are linux drivers for gbit lan (marvel chip), but I am curious if they will work on 9.2, because they are marked as for kernel 2.4.13 (with patches for 2.4.22). I am using 9.2 with kernel 2.6.8-24.5... Have you tried these drivers (file name: install-618.tr.bz2) ?? Is that what you couldn't get to work? Regards, cikasole
