You cant update it via suses online update feature without a key/password something. So its full of kernel bugs as is.
You might be able to get one - But I doubt it.

My question is: Is that version crippled in any way? i mean, will it stop working after one month or something like that? i couldn't find a readme telling that, but i always doubt about 'evaluation software' (YKWIM).
Linux vendors do not cripple their products. You do not need to be concerned about expiration, but as Sheridan mentioned, it is an as-is release with zero support. If you want to upgrade anything, you are on your own. Also, remember that SLES8 is the 2.4 kernel and SLES9 is the 2.6 kernel.
