I uninstalled a bunch of yast2- 2.9 packages ( from a 9.1 install?) and reinstalled using RPM a bunch of 2.10 packages from the SUSE 9.2 PRO CD. Now I have no YAST2 menu in my KDE setup and when I try to run yast from a Konsole window as root, I get the text mode menu. When I try to run YOU I get: /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/liby2pm.so.2: undefined symbol when I try to run the repair CD I keep getting an error that yast2-trans-en is missing, but it will not install, and I have tried to install it using rpm -i from both the CD and DVD. It shows it installed: PaulsPC:/media/dvd/suse/noarch # rpm -qa|grep trans yast2-transfer-2.9.3-2 transcode-0.6.14-0.pm.0 yast2-trans-en_US-2.10.4-2 If I try to login as root using the admin menu, all I get is the blue screen, no menu. -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800 X-Request-PGP: http://home.comcast.net/~p.cartwright/wsb/key.asc
