As for real hardware RAID, all of the SCSI raid cards
I am familiar with do real hardware raid. There are
numerous of them from lots of vendors.

If you want hardware RAID for ATA drives, then the
only one I know is 3ware, but I assume others exist.

I don't know what the situation is for SATA raid. I'm
guessing it is more like SCSI where all the solutions
are hardware RAID.
