but I can't even get that page.  This seems to be the only Google result that
indicates it might be the archive.

I guess "sort of" means that it is only this month's messages?

In have been subscribed to the ot list since the beginning and I never
throw away messages because I prefer to do my own local searching.  If you
want, I can give you my mbox as stored by Mozilla Thunderbird.
