In the past I have loaded the Gatos drivers for my ATI cards after each install/update of a SuSE version, and always with good results. It allowed use of xawtv and several other programs which did not work without it. After installing 9.2, I am now not so sure. I am running 9.2 with 2.6.xdefault kernel, on 64 bit box, and see no 64 bit compatible files on Gatos. Also, files are for xfree86, not x86 that seems to be the current default. I have never installed/tried the fglx files from ATI or the SuSE supp. list and they seem not to be available for 9.2 yet anyway. Right now acceleration is not the issue, xawtv is. No other TV programs seem to work either, and I surmise the issue is the same: drivers for the ATI card. MSI 64 bit board ATI 8500 AIW Thanks for any guidance. Richard
True. There aren't any updated gatos drivers for X.org 6.8.x. There are some for X.org 6.7.x but they don't work on SUSE 9.2 Pro. You could try the CVS for gatos but I couldn't tell how far along those are; do they support X.org 6.8.x yet? Stan
