Both Eclipse and NetBeans are good. Both have their string and weak
points. I was working on a project where Eclipse had been the
recommended tool, but someone else had downloaded netbeans.
(http://www.netbeans.org/). After some research, I found that there were
some things we needed that were supported by Netbeans and not by
Eclipse.
personally, I found the Eclipse front end to be a bit more polished, but
I found that Netbeans tends to fit into a Unix/Linux environment a bit
better.
