I have a standard installation of 9.1 and I am attempting to get a web page to send mail. I have tried varions scripts (all of them work on a redhat server) but they all stop at the same point and don't send any mail.
If I do somthing simple such as
<?php mail("me@my-real-email.com.au","test message","This is a test"); ?>
The error is
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mail() in /srv/www/htdocs/test/mailtest.php on line 2
Can anyone tell me why the mail() function is missing or how to get it working? I thought is was a core component of PHP.
Works fine here, check your /etc/php.ini file and also your apache error log, /var/log/apache2/error_log for any clues to your problem. Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.5-7.111-default x86_64
