Dear all,
I have recently installed a machine with the above mentioned
configuration. The machine will be a fax-server. It will only receive (at the moment) faxes and store them on its hard-drive.
the problem is that all the faxes that I receive are either
black pages or they are white pages with a black thick stripe horizontaly.
Can someone please give me a hand with this?? I have received a total of 9 faxes and they are all
the same (mostly white pages with black stripe).
Tons of thanks! Chris
I had tons of problems with a no-name/CompUSA external serial modem. Switched to a USRobotics external serial and Hylafax started receiving and sending no problem. I had to add PostScript and TIFF conversion programs to make sure the faxes would print properly and automatically when sent/received. Followed the Hylafax documentation to get it all sorted. My guess is that you don't have that TIFF/PostScript conversion setup properly. Or you are getting bad faxes. If they are coming from known good sources then I'll stick with my first guess. Do you have a separate fax line and machine to test locally? Stan
