CD-RW data are lost -> burned with DirectCD (Win)...

      Hi List,

I (almost) gave up already to give a helping hand to my dad, who still
uses hard-drive-like CD-RWs burned with a bloody old copy of the
packet-writing application DirectCD (coming with Easy CD Creator) on a
Win98 box.
Till now he had no problems as I know, but now just lost one complete
CD-RW with _all_ of his photos, documents, etc. From a w2000 machine I
attempted to get back his data with about 10 different recovery tools:
without any success.

Please does anyone have an idea, how could I try to save his data back
from this CD-RW under SUSE 9.1?! (= last chance)
