Hi experts,
I have installed SuSe 9.1 over the weekend on TP600E,
everything went ok but sound. Yast2 said the sound
card has been detected but when I tried to install it,
error poped up saying driver could not be loaded. It
suggested the driver file should be 'snd-cs46xx' so I
located it but it didn't have extention .o but .ko and
most likely that was why I got the error. I have
downloaded this file from different TP600E and placed
it to right location and it fixed it. I'd be curious
what to do in such situation if I wouldn't have the
chance to download the driver and what is .ko file
for.
Thx, Martin
