How do I turn off automount?  I can't find it anywhere.

Yeah, I tried that, but to no avail.

I've found that it seems to be a KDE thing.  When I run with Gnome, I 
don't see the problem.  I've tried turning off a couple of things 
related to kded (mountwatcher and driverwatcher), but that didn't seem 
to change anything.  Rather frustrating.
