You don't have a queue "lp".
Dear Mr. Meixner, Thank you very much.
To reproduce it try to print with echo hello | lp -d doesnotexist
The result I get is :- "lp: unable to print file:client-error-not-found"
and in /var/log/cups/error_log the matching message is shown:-
"print_job: resource name '/printers/doesnotexist' no good!"
Use lpstat -p to list which queues you actually have.
My output is :- "printer lp0 is idle" ....................................... So . . . the problem is that I have no print queue lp ? . . . how & where may I correct this, please? Thanks a Ton Richard _________
