Hello,
Today I had to reinstall 9.2 as MySQL Max was missing from the CDs and I need to use it. So I started with the DVD but for some reason it would not boot on my computer. I assumed it is because my DVD-ROM device is a few years old and sure enough when I tried it on a new machine it worked no problems.
So I had to use the old cheat approach and booted from CD 1 and as soons as yast and the kernel where loaded and I had to choose the language for the install I popped out CD 1 and put in DVD 1...all is going well so far. But it is a strange way of doing things....and why is there less on the CDs.
Does anyone now how to change the source of installation so that after having installed from CDs you can choose the DVD as the source...I tried that with success?
Thanks. George
