Nope, this is not the solution, I have the same problem and since I've bought SuSE 9.2, I've tried for the first time to post a support query (I think I use SuSE since 5.3). The answer was: "Unfortunately, ********* configuration / troubleshooting is not covered within the scope of the free installation support." But I think this is not the case, because the system (or part of it) is broken in a fresh default instalation (wish I did). BTW, I'm using locale en_US.ISO-8859-1 with portuguese keyboard, and the problem is the same, I get for instance ~a for ã (atilde). From what I could search, Pablo is right, regarding the explanation of the problem. bye, Helder
