Hello! I'm currently having a problem with sending email using postfix. I can send email from localhost just fine, but whenever I try to connect remotely to send an email, I get an error saying "Error: authentication not enabled". Has anyone here ever experienced this problem before? If so, what's the directive to enable authentication? my postconf -n is as follows: alias_database = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases command_directory = /usr/sbin config_directory = /etc/postfix daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix debug_peer_level = 2 mailq_path = /usr/bin/mailq.postfix manpage_directory = /usr/share/man newaliases_path = /usr/bin/newaliases.postfix readme_directory = /usr/share/doc/postfix-2.0.16/README_FILES sample_directory = /usr/share/doc/postfix-2.0.16/samples sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix setgid_group = postdrop smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 450 virtual_alias_domains = mydomain.com virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual Thanks in advance for any inisghts you may have! -- Warm regards, Jordan Michaels Vivio Technologies http://www.viviotech.net/ jordan@viviotech.net
