I've been having problems with SuSE 9.2 on a VIA EPIA Mini-ITX Motherboard. SuSE 9.2 would either lockup solid during the boot process or if I managed to login it would lockup when running programs like MC or YaST.
I initially thought the problem was memory related. But after running the memory test for a day ruled that out.
I appear to have isolated the problem to the power management package. I'm still testing but when the powermanagement is disabled I have yet to have it lockup on me.
I'll repost if I find out further details.

It seems to happen more when I am using the X11 windows with YAST or trying to configure the system. I installed the no ACPI and it still locks up. Arrgh! Just what I wanted to hear. NOT! I just bought parts to make a dwarvish, home file server based on a VIA EPIA mini-itx. Between the posts about the EPIA problems and the other ones today about the kernel's inherent IDE interrupt problem, I've just lost the will to live. And I'm all out of Hot Pockets, too.
