Hi
My daughter has been told to use chemsketch for her lab reports in chemistry.
As I understand, it is not for drawing molecules, rather to draw laboratory equipment. Test tubes, bunsen burners, etc.
Does anybody know a program that can do this in native Linux ?
I see on the homepage of chemsketch that it can be made to run under Linux through Codeweaver's Crossover. But I'd rather let her run a native Linux program if possible. And I'd rather save the 40 $ if possible.
Crossover can run all these other applications too, so I think the 40$ is pretty cheap for the value:

Or you can try it with the newest Wine and see if it works:

or CVS:

I'm not sure if it will do everything needed, but it is worth looking at, also search on frehmeat.net for "chemistry", lots of apps there. http://cdk.sourceforge.net/ Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer =====LINUX ONLY USED HERE=====
