Hi, I've got USB Sound Blaster MP3+. Reading all the docs it should work under linux and alsa. But I can not make it work with Suse 9.1
After I plug it, it is listed in plugger under Unknown as Creative USB Audio. I can see it in Hardware Info as well (under USB section). There is dmesg output which shows that the device is recognized. But, it is not listed in yast2 sound, and it is not configured. There is no sound as well.
Does someone have a clue whats going on and how to make it work? Bellow is the releveant information from Hardware Info and dmesg.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
I use this same sound device as I have -no- 32 bit pci slots, they are all 64 bit. I just plug it in and forget about it. No need to configure in YaST at all. In fact you will disable all sound if you try. You may need to unplug and plug in after you have logged into KDE, don't know about Gnome. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989 SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please*
